Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based in Huntsville, AL, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2
BMC) program is an essential part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a critical operational platform that enables the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and Combatant Commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2
BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, providing an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It acts as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2
BMC is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
The successful candidate will work with the C2
BMC Regional Applications Track Server team to provide detailed analysis of Track Processing and System Discrimination performance and behavior from formal and informal event runs.
- Will coordinate Track Server analysis and behavior for various internal and external stakeholders, as well as coordinate analysis efforts within the Track Server team
- Perform analysis, root-cause troubleshooting, scenario support, and behavior assessments of C2
BMC Track Server software across development, ground testing, and operations - Use automated tools and apply manual techniques to analyze software capabilities and behaviors in an integrated environment
- Interface with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts to define analytical approaches, set up scenarios, assist with anomaly resolution, and deliver actionable insights to customers and stakeholders

- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Proven experience producing analytical reports on complex systems and algorithms (performance, behavior, and functionality)
- Ability to use or a comparable language (e.g., ) for prototyping, data visualization, scripting, data manipulation, and parsing
- Ability to use spreadsheets, databases, and/or command-line tools for hands-on data analysis and verification
- Experience with statistical methods, time-series analysis, and data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Excellent analytical abilities and the ability to clearly present complex technical concepts to engineers, stakeholders, and customers
- Understanding of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and life cycles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
- Self-motivated and collaborative; thrives in a fast-paced environment and can switch between high-priority tasks
- Background in missile defense battle management, IR/RF sensor tracking, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, or command and control systems
