Our Mission, Vision, and Values guide the way we do business. Leidos' Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking a Junior Interceptor Test Engineer. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies.

Our team is solving the world's toughest security challenges for customers with "can't fail" missions.

Responsibilities:

• Executing test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of hardware projects.
• Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements.
• Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
• Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools.
• Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
• Working directly with the customer and other support personnel on of the afore mentioned responsibilities.
• The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).

Qualifications:

• Requires BS degree and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
• Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
• Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
• Active DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience with ESS, HALT, HASS, Mil Std 461, Mil Std 464, Mil Std 810, and/or CE compliance testing
• Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator)
• Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices
• Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and Wire Shark
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
• Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities
