Field Application Engineer – AMD Xilinx

Requirements

• We require hands-on experience with system-level FPGA and ASIC design tools, including Vivado, Vitis, ISE, or Quartus;
  Model Sim experience is a plus.

• We prefer experience designing with AMD Xilinx FPGAs and SoCs, including Versal, Virtex, Kintex, Artix, Spartan, RFSoC, Zynq Ultra Scale+, and Zynq-7000 devices.
• We prefer knowledge of embedded design environments such as Vivado, Vitis, IP Integrator, Intel Altera Quartus, and Eclipse-based development tools.
• We prefer understanding of FPGA and SoC board design considerations, including power delivery, thermal dissipation, high-speed interfaces, and debug.
• We prefer experience with high-performance external memory interface controllers and related protocols.
• We prefer experience with FPGA-based high-speed serial transceivers.
• We prefer embedded processing knowledge, including x86 and ARM architectures, performance metrics, Linux, Yocto, BSPs, drivers, and debugging tools.
• We require typically 8+ years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or equivalent, and this is a senior-level sales role.
• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent experience that provides comparable knowledge and job skills.
• We require authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. and we cannot sponsor or transfer visa sponsorship at this time.

Responsibilities:

• We drive and coordinate Xilinx technical initiatives for key customers in partnership with the dedicated AMD Xilinx Technical Sales Engineer.
• We provide technical leadership focused on design-win strategies for customer opportunities.
• We build trusted relationships with systems engineers and architects within our assigned key accounts.
• We develop the technical portion of strategy proposals for major customer programs.
• We apply our understanding of customer challenges to guide the best use of Xilinx IP, software tools, and hardware devices.
• We manage technical support issues within the customer base and involve AMD Xilinx specialists when needed to resolve software, IP, design closure, RTL, simulation, bring-up, and debug issues.
• We collaborate with field and factory resources to create and deliver technical proposals aligned with customer needs.
• We lead technical solution development, including hardware and software demos and example designs, to demonstrate our value proposition.
• We work with third-party ecosystem partners to support mutually beneficial custom solutions where applicable.
• We attend internal and external AMD Xilinx technical training and maintain required certifications.
• We perform other assigned duties as needed.
