Education:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related quantitative field.
Required Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in data analytics, data science, statistical analysis, operations research, or a related analytical discipline.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing analytics in a supply chain, logistics, inventory, transportation, or related operational environment.
Ping Wind is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to serve as the lead for Data Analytics and Modeling. The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and business intelligence activities supporting supply chain and logistics operations.
This position oversees the development of descriptive and predictive analytical products, transforms complex operational data into actionable insights, and provides analytical recommendations to support Government decision-making, operational efficiency, and continuous process improvement. The Senior Data Analyst also provides technical leadership, quality oversight, and mentoring to junior data analysts.
- Serve as the technical lead for data analytics, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling activities.
- Lead the development and delivery of descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytical products.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, relationships, anomalies, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Perform data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify meaningful information from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Develop and apply statistical models, predictive models, and machine learning techniques to support forecasting and operational decision-making.
- Analyze supply chain and logistics data to evaluate performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven improvements.
- Develop analytical models supporting areas such as inventory management, demand forecasting, transportation, supply chain performance, resource planning, and operational optimization.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, visualizations, scorecards, and performance reports using Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, trends, and performance thresholds.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for Government stakeholders and senior leadership
- Advanced knowledge of data analytics and statistical analysis methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data mining and pattern identification techniques.
- Experience developing and validating statistical and predictive models.
- Knowledge and practical application of machine learning methods and techniques.
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Military Experience preferred
