Description
Leidos Corporate Information Security team, reporting through the Digital sector, is seeking an early career System Administrator to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in contributing to hardware and software implementation and overall infrastructure support within a classified environment. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with information assurance requirements, and guaranteeing continuity of operations.

Work Location:All work is to be performed onsite in our Huntsville, AL office.
Clearance:You must currently hold an active Secret clearance to qualify for consideration. You must also be eligible to obtain Top Secret clearance upon hire.
Primary Responsibilities:- Set up and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and network devices; some Linux experience is highly preferred
- Embrace new technologies to meet evolving requirements.
- Contribute to hardware/software implementation, and overall infrastructure support.
- Document system configurations and baselines.
- Provide backup and recovery services while managing file systems and disk space.
- Utilize desktop and server virtualization within Hyper-V, VMWare vSphere and ESXI.
- Handle ticket load and prioritization of daily onsite support and troubleshooting.
- Work on multiple projects, either as a team member or occasionally leading a project.
- Manage user accounts and access control in a domain or stand-alone environment.
- Ensure the proper marking, handling, and storage of classified materials.
- Troubleshoot and repair Windows operating system issues on server and workstations.
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two 2 years of System Administrator experience. Equivalent relevant years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Current Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
- DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification. (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- Experience managing multiple air-gapped laboratory based systems within a dynamic, demanding environment.
- Familiarity with Risk Management Framework environments and requirements for Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience with desktop and server virtualization within Hyper-V, VMWare vSphere and ESXI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in support of providing the highest level of customer service.
- Ability to interface effectively with security agencies, customers, and management.
- Previous experience in a classified Collateral environment / SAP / SCI.
- System Administrator experience in a similarly sized organization.
- Understanding of network concepts, Type 1 encryption devices (e.g., TACLANE), and cybersecurity tools.
- Knowledge of securely configuring network equipment (switches and firewalls).
