Education:

Required Experience:
Senior-level enterprise architecture and systems engineering experience designing secure, highly available infrastructure, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, and disaster-recovery solutions in large or mission-critical environments.
Ping Wind is seeking an Enterprise Architect to provide architecture leadership for PAE Fires enterprise systems, virtualization, storage, backup/recovery, and continuity capabilities. This role will translate mission, security, interoperability, availability, and recovery requirements into scalable architectures and technical roadmaps that support secure 24/7 operations, resilient infrastructure, and successful disaster recovery and COOP execution.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain enterprise and system architecture recommendations spanning ESXi hosts, virtual machines/appliances, Red Hat Open Shift, VDI, Windows/Linux platforms, storage, applications, backup/recovery, and supporting infrastructure dependencies.
- Perform system analysis and design and provide architecture guidance for establishing and sustaining virtual infrastructure and highly available enterprise services.
- Architect scalable backup and recovery solutions compatible with Linux NFS, Windows SMB, the existing Enterprise SAN, Cohesity, Dell Power Protect Data Manager, VMware Replication, and vSAN environments.
- Define integration patterns for policy-driven protection and recovery services, including vProxy, DD Boost, NDMP, REST APIs, S3-compatible object storage, VMware vCenter/vSphere, and application-aware protection for platforms such as SQL Server.
- Establish architecture approaches that support defined Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs), Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), service-level expectations, enterprise growth, and long-term retention requirements.
- Lead or support Business Impact Analysis, risk management, contingency planning, continuity planning, and disaster-recovery architecture recommendations across the enterprise.
- Recommend high-availability and redundancy strategies appropriate to system impact levels, including load balancing, data mirroring, replication, and recovery/restoration approaches.
- Support development, review, testing, and continuous improvement of contingency, business continuity, disaster recovery, and COOP reconstitution plans; document findings and recommendations in required technical products.
- Ensure architecture recommendations align with applicable Army IM&T and cybersecurity standards and contingency guidance, including AR 25-1, AR 25-2, AR 500-3, and applicable NIST guidance.
