Torch Technologies is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to join a team supporting the Targets and Countermeasures program office of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
This position supports the Targets and Countermeasures program office.
- System Modeling & Architecture:
Develop and maintain descriptive system models using SysML. - Requirements Traceability:
Map system-level and component-level requirements directly to architecture artifacts. - Digital Engineering Integration:
Support MDA Digital Engineering initiatives. - Technical Baseline Reviews:
Assist in preparing and presenting model-centric artifacts for milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, CCBs). - Interface & Trade Studies:
Conduct architectural trade studies and analyze interface definition documents. - Configuration & Data Management:
Maintain version control and compliance for SysML models.
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years supporting missile defense or large-scale DoD programs
- Active Secret clearance
- Demonstrated proficiency with SysML and core systems engineering frameworks (DoDAF, UAF)
- Hands‑on experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect, Magic Draw, and Sparx Enterprise Architect
- 7+ years related experience.
- Experience supporting missile defense or other complex DoD systems
- Experience with digital engineering environments
- Experience conducting interface analyses or trade studies
- Experience supporting MDA programs (Targets and Countermeasures, Ground-Based Midcourse Defense, THAAD, Aegis BMD, or C2
BMC) - OMG‑Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) certification (Fundamental, Intermediate, or Advanced)
- Working knowledge of requirement management tools (DOORS, Cameo Requirements Plugin) and issue-tracking platforms (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience integrating MBSE models with analytical/simulation environments (MATLAB/Simulink, Python, OpenMBEE)
- Familiarity with DoD Systems Engineering processes, CDRLs, and technical baseline governance
