- Own the design, architecture, health, reliability, scalability, and security of network infrastructure
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments
- Configure, implement, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks, and related technologies
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity
- Resolve complex network incidents and service interruptions
- Participate in critical incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures
- Perform network maintenance, upgrades, and configuration changes
- Support network monitoring and management tools
- Lead and develop network team members; assign work, establish priorities, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance
- Conduct one-on-one meetings, provide feedback, and support employee development
- Manage the team’s on-call rotation and 24/7 network support operations
- Implement network security controls, firewalls, VPNs, access controls, segmentation, and vulnerability remediation
- Support security assessments, audits, compliance, and change management requirements
- Lead and participate in network infrastructure projects, upgrades, migrations, and improvements
- Evaluate technologies and solutions; automate repetitive processes and improve workflows
- Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, and other technical teams
- Manage vendors, service providers, procurement, technical assessments, and vendor performance
- Communicate network issues, risks, project updates, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
- Participate in hiring, interviews, talent attraction, mentorship, and company culture initiatives
- Attend headquarters approximately twice per year and travel as required; approximately 10% travel may be required
- Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zone
- Must be located in one of:
Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, or Wisconsin - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
- At least 5 years of professional experience in network engineering, network administration, or a related network infrastructure role
- At least 1 year of experience managing, supervising, or leading a technical or network team
- Hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments
- Experience supporting network projects, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements
- Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and critical incident response
- CCNA required prior to employment
- CCNP required prior to employment
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, and OSPF
- Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and NGINX
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, network security, and network segmentation
- Working knowledge of cloud networking, particularly Azure and/or AWS
- Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower and ASA firewalls
- Experience with Dell OS10 and SonicOS networking platforms
- Strong hands-on network configuration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple technical issues and projects
- Ability to lead a team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day technical operations
- Strong communication, technical documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to analyze network performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Must have valid U.S. work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship
Demonstrates expertise in network infrastructure design, management, and security, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, incident response, and team leadership. Proficient in managing both on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability.
