Systems Engineer, Cloud Computing: Infrastructure & Operations, Cybersecurity
Corvid's Missile Defense Products team is looking to add a software engineer providing material support on Dev Sec Ops for a large missile defense program. The position will work onsite with the technical team developing new versions of software applications critical to functionality of the systems, with a focus on security and automation. Candidates should enjoy working on technical challenges as well as collaborating across disciplines and with a diverse team.
Tasking will include:
- Design, deploy, and maintain containerized workloads on Kubernetes, including Helm/manifest management and integrating cluster deployments into Git Lab CI/CD pipelines
- Build and support CI/CD and infrastructure automation in Azure environments
- Work closely with cyber team to incorporate security gates into workflows
- Support integration with testing frameworks and compliance scans, improving observability and incident response processes
- Work with Docker and Podman for containerized solutions
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
- Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or similar STEM field) and at least 3 years of experience in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience (deploying, troubleshooting, and securing workloads, not just using a cluster someone else built)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including deploying and managing compute, networking, and identity/access resources
- Demonstrated experience with modern CI/CD tools (preferably Git Lab) and containers
- Strong scripting skills are required (preference for Python or Bash)
- Understanding of security best practices in Dev Ops pipelines, including Kubernetes security (RBAC, network policies, image scanning)
- Experience in Azure Secret Cloud or other restricted or air-gapped environment is preferred
- Static analysis experience (Fortify or Sonar Qube);
Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Packer, Terraform, Ansible); and Azure or Kubernetes certifications (CKA, Azure Dev Ops Engineer) are a plus
