Sr. Procurement Manager Senior Manager, Procurement About the Role

The Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for leading the strategic direction, governance, and execution of the company's global procurement function. This role oversees strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract administration, materials procurement, and category management while ensuring alignment with the organization's financial, operational, and compliance objectives.

The Senior Manager develops and implements procurement strategies that optimize total cost of ownership, strengthen supplier partnerships, improve supply continuity, and support business growth. Working closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and Operations, this position drives cross‑functional collaboration to ensure material availability, mitigate supply chain risks, and support new product development and operational initiatives.

By leveraging market intelligence, supplier performance analytics, and industry best practices, the Senior Manager continuously improves procurement processes, strengthens supplier performance, and delivers sustainable cost savings while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or category management with increasing leadership responsibilities.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing procurement professionals and cross‑functional sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, inventory planning, and procurement best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, Microsoft Excel, and supplier performance analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting global manufacturing operations and multi‑site procurement organizations.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading procurement transformation initiatives, supplier rationalization, and cost reduction programs.
  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, supplier diversity programs, and responsible sourcing practices.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute global procurement and sourcing strategies that align with corporate objectives and support long‑term business growth.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple spend categories to optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring quality, service, and supply continuity.
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships through supplier selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and business reviews.
  • Oversee contract administration to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Quality to support material availability, inventory optimization, and new product introductions.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements through scorecards, key performance indicators (KPIs), corrective action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks by developing sourcing strategies, business continuity plans, dual sourcing initiatives, and supplier contingency plans.
  • Analyze procurement data, market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier performance to identify cost savings and operational improvement opportunities.
