Job Description

Processes orders for materials or merchandise from sales staff or direct customer contact. Maintains customer files with sales contracts and other information. Provides price quotations, completes order sheets and verifies the price and quantity of each item listed. Distributes order sheets to respective departments. May coordinate with departments regarding order status, shipping dates, prices, product availability and back‑orders.
Nature Of Duties And SkillsEntering orders, order changes, forecasts and price lists into the Operational Control System and Support Systems; updating the data entered; recycling the PEX forms.
- Managing the order confirmation process and communicating with the customer about partial shipment approvals
- Rescheduling orders (backlog)
- Updating the backlog issue log
- Obtaining plant internal approvals for ordering and forecasting changes
- Maintaining form parameters in Oracle, printing and sending by PM instructions, collecting signatures
- Understanding the importance of order processing as a subscription/delivery process
- Adapting to work according to the established process
- Excel skills
- Critical work order tracking (production or RMAs)
- Validating, loading and modifying purchase orders
6 months to 1 year of experience.
