This role is contingent on contract award.
K is seeking a Program Manager for an upcoming Engineering Program at Marshall Space Flight Center.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Solution Leadership
Lead the development of innovative solutions for capture efforts, ensuring alignment with customer requirements to enhance proposal competitiveness.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and capture teams to identify innovation opportunities and align efforts with market needs, company strategy, and capture efforts.
- Innovation Program Execution
Execute and inform the strategic direction for the company's internal innovation program, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Agile Leadership and Product Ownership
Utilize Agile methodology to lead, assemble, and mentor cross‑functional teams focused on development of new capabilities, services, and processes. Act as Product Owner for select teams, defining vision, managing the backlog, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Innovation Culture
Foster an environment of creativity and innovation, encouraging risk‑taking and exploration of new ideas and technologies.
- External Partnership Management
Manage relationships with external partners, including industry consortia and academia, to leverage external expertise and technologies.
- Solution Presentation
Develop and present innovative solutions directly to Government customers and stakeholders, utilizing strong presentation and communication skills.
- Master's degree in a STEM field.
- 20 years of experience, including roles working in or for the Federal Government.
- Experience in R&D, product development, or technology management.
- Experience leading and building teams, using Agile/Scrum project management methodologies.
- Ability to think strategically and drive creative solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders to effect engagement.
- Experience with budget and resource management.
- Active personal security clearance.
- NASA contracting and leadership experience.
- Knowledge of NASA’s decadal programs, strategic agency directives, mission directorate initiatives and agency‑wide communications systems.
- Technical background (e.g., spacecraft design, command and control, human and robotic spaceflight, mission systems engineering, payloads, ground systems, flight systems, multiple‑domain products).
- Strategy development and successful execution.
- Strong engineering skills and working knowledge of core engineering disciplines.
