Position Introduction / Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a Risk Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at the Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville, AL area.
Key Duties- Implement a risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify and assess organizational risks by analyzing internal and external factors.
- Develop and apply mitigation strategies such as risk avoidance, transfer, reduction, and acceptance.
- Monitor risk controls and procedures, reporting risk trends and exposures to senior management.
- Advise leadership on strategic risk mitigation approaches.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align risk strategies and ensure program-wide adoption.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare and deliver risk reports to leadership.
- Lead investigations into risk incidents and perform root cause analyses.
- Participate in program meetings to understand key objectives, constraints, and issues.
- Facilitate Director-level RIO meetings as part of the IRES Program Review Board (PRB).
- Present RIO-related information at formal program reviews.
- Keep IRES Program management informed of current MDA RIO policies and updates.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real
-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. - 2 or more years of risk management experience.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-informed decision-making.
- Professional certifications.
- Knowledge of the MDA's risk management processes and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher).
