Risk Manager

Position Introduction / Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking a Risk Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at the Redstone Arsenal in the Huntsville, AL area.

• Implement a risk management framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify and assess organizational risks by analyzing internal and external factors.
• Develop and apply mitigation strategies such as risk avoidance, transfer, reduction, and acceptance.
• Monitor risk controls and procedures, reporting risk trends and exposures to senior management.
• Advise leadership on strategic risk mitigation approaches.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align risk strategies and ensure program-wide adoption.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare and deliver risk reports to leadership.
• Lead investigations into risk incidents and perform root cause analyses.
• Participate in program meetings to understand key objectives, constraints, and issues.
• Facilitate Director-level RIO meetings as part of the IRES Program Review Board (PRB).
• Present RIO-related information at formal program reviews.
• Keep IRES Program management informed of current MDA RIO policies and updates.

• This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real
  -compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.
• 2 or more years of risk management experience.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive risk-informed decision-making.

• Professional certifications.
• Knowledge of the MDA's risk management processes and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher).
