Harris is seeking a Lead, Program Management to join our Advanced Missile Propulsion Technologies group within the Advanced Boosters Division. This critical role will direct all phases of advanced booster programs from inception through completion, driving program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives while serving as the primary customer interface for cutting‑edge missile propulsion technology development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of advanced booster programs or subsystems, working at the forefront of next‑generation missile propulsion technologies that support national defense priorities.

Essential Functions:
  • Program Leadership & Execution
    • Direct all phases of advanced booster programs from inception through completion
    • Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow
    • Maintain responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance of advanced booster programs or subsystems of major programs
    • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
    • Identify program problems and obtain solutions, including resource allocation or contractual specification changes
  • Customer & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as primary customer contact for program activities
    • Lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
    • Participate in negotiation of contracts and contract changes
    • Expand the advanced booster product line with customers
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gain cooperation on operational processes
  • Business & Financial Management
    • Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, and performance Statements of Work (SOW)
    • Develop specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
    • Contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on results
    • Support development of departmental budgets and operational plans
  • Technical & Engineering Oversight
    • Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for advanced booster product research, development, integration, and test
    • Provide technical direction ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer requirements
    • Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees
    • Manage complex projects involving delegation of work and review of work products
    • Lead cross‑functional teams across technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
  • Up to 20% business travel to other L3

    Harris and customer sites.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant program management experience, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related program management experience, or 13 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years experience with the Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • 1+ years experience with proposals.
