Position: Senior Program Manager with Security Clearance
Overview i3 is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Program Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the defense industry with experience in managing complex programs and leading teams. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities
* Provide subject matter expertise on respective requirements and standards.
* Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and responsible for delivering high-quality services.
* Directly oversee project management, managing of technical teams, and interfacing/briefing Corporate Executives and DoD customers.
* Lead program change management and the resulting cost and schedule modifications appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
* Responsible for the overall development life cycle for the environment and the ability to manage complex projects on schedule and within budget.
* Work with customers, senior officials, and engineers to develop a strategy and road map that provides compelling and value-add innovations and new capabilities.
* Instill best practices, ensure designs meet requirements, and responsible for delivering high-quality services.
* Formulate and enforce work standards, assign contractor schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise contractor personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals to the organization.
* Organize, direct and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.
* Responsible for all staffing decisions, skill mix, and assessments.
* Align with strategic goals and objectives of the Portfolio.
* Responsible for growth, development, and nurturing of people, programs, capabilities, and execution activities.
* Be responsible for the business development within current customer base and/or for new customers.
* Be an advocate within the team for maintaining the i3 culture and embodying i3 core values.
* Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience
* 20+ years of experience surrounding the defense industry is required.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs that include multiple subcontractors, material vendors, and demanding customers throughout their lifecycle.
* Demonstrated ability to manage costs on a multimillion-dollar design and development program to include ETCs, EACs, and other cost accounting methods.
* Demonstrated ability leading and developing cross functional teams.
* Demonstrated experience with risk management.
* An active DoD Security Clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance is required.
* DoD Proposals experience is preferred.
* High school diploma or GED required at minimum.
* U.S. Citizenship is required. Knowledge/Skills
