This is a full-time on-site role for a Manufacturing Engineer located near Huntsville, AL. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and improving manufacturing processes, designing workflows, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role involves contributing to the optimization of industrial and mechanical systems and collaborating closely with teams to meet production goals while ensuring safety and quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, welding environments, and thrives in a fast-paced job shop or low-to-medium volume manufacturing setting. Other responsibilities include programmer support for CNC machining, laser, turret punch, press brakes and other fabrication equipment, assist with technical estimating along with production planning.
- Proficiency in Manufacturing Processes and knowledge of manufacturing systems
- Strong expertise in Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering principles
- Familiarity with Mechanical Engineering concepts and their application to production environments
- Skills in Machining and hands-on experience with production equipment
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross‑functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication and/or machining environment
- Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks preferred) and familiarity with automation technologies is a plus
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
