This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of technicians, you will assist with the setup of the production work areas, including layouts, tooling, and equipment setup for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the transition from development to production. You will manufacture, assemble, and test structural flight hardware assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models, drawings, and specifications.

You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, truck‑trailer combinations, and other ground support equipment as required. Set up and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments. You will perform second‑party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.

Shift
  • B Shift: M‑Thurs, 4x10’s
Qualifications
  • 1‑5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, or tube bending
  • Ability to work with small hardware components and attention to detail.
  • Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
  • Work collaboratively with teams of various skills, disciplines, and backgrounds
  • Communicate clearly and appropriately, in writing and person
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean‑up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of various skills across large geographic distances
  • Ability to support Monday‑Friday work schedule, work off‑shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
  • Ability to lift to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, supporting all Shifts/OT, as necessary, to support business needs.
Desired
  • Experience setting up and adjusting manual, hydraulic, or CNC bending equipment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset. Our job is never complete; we are always refining and improving
  • Experience in Aerospace/Launch vehicle assembly
  • Experience in handling large aerospace components
  • Experience in assembling large tight‑tolerance structures
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
  • Robotic Experience
