Job Title:
Associate - Inventory I
Shift: Monday-Friday, 3PM-12:30AM CST
Location:
Huntsville, AL 35806
Job Type: Contract;
Hours:
40/week;
Pay Rate: $32.00/hour (DOE)
- Continuous improvement: evaluate, monitor, and escape roadblocks that could cause downstream defects; support root cause analysis and provide problem‑solving details.
- Operate heavy equipment: understand mechanics, safety, and maintenance; move heavy parts/materials within the facility.
- Unloading shipments delivered by carriers.
- Inspecting shipments: visually examine packages arriving at the facility and determine acceptability per SOP.
- Quality control checks: review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to SOP.
- Documenting receipts: use tools and equipment to upload, store, and close out receipts or work orders per SOP.
- Data entry: navigate inventory management tool to input data from deliveries; read and use module information for fulfillment tasks.
- Packaging: identify required packaging for parts and properly wrap/store at any stage of the workflow.
- Sorting and staging: move packages or containers, ensuring they are identified and secured to prevent loss.
- Labeling and marking: ensure all parts are properly labeled per SOP for workflow analysis.
- Storage assignment/auditing: store parts safely and audit per SOP, using good judgment.
- 2+ years of fulfillment center operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions.
- Must be able to operate forklifts.
- Adherence to safety protocols: PPE, safe operating procedures, and regular safety training.
- Lifting capacity of 50 lbs.
- Attitude of world‑class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
- Communication skills in a highly technical environment.
- Mathematical skills: percentages, area, volume, unit conversions.
- Analytical skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, conclude from data.
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or APICS or Lean Six Sigma certificate.
- Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace industry.
