Overview

This position is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating the electrical training program to ensure employees have the knowledge, skills, abilities, and safety awareness needed to perform their roles effectively. This position works closely with management, production supervisors, Quality and HR to improve production efficiency, quality standards, and employee technical skill mastery.

Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and maintains an electrical assembly skills training program ensuring that all staff members possess and maintain requisite assembly skills and key technical certifications.
  • Trains new employees during onboarding and provides ongoing training for existing staff to improve skills.
  • Reviews, evaluates and analyzes process data, customer complaints, and requests for corrective action and takes appropriate action to prevent recurrence; tracks and evaluates data to ensure action taken is effective.
  • Creates, updates, and maintains training materials (e.g. manuals, visual aids, handouts), skill matrices, and certifications.
  • Assess employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborates with supervisors to identify training needs, troubleshoot production issues, and improve efficience.
  • Communicates and enforces safety protocols, proper use of PPE, and compliance with industry requirements
  • Communicates and trains employees on Company QMS procedures, documents, forms, inspection and quality control plans.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience: Three or more years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of electrical cables and harnesses. Must be extremely knowledgeable of industry standards and hold current IPC-620 and J-STD certifications. Must be proficient in the use of the tooling and equipment needed to fabricate cables and harnesses. Must have strong coaching, mentorship and interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse groups.

    Must be knowledgeable on MS Office products and have the flexibility to work different shifts and locations as required.

Any combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO and CEO.
