This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance, and includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
This position is part of a small team where you will participate in the assembly and verification of space flight components on a Blue Origin spacecraft. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of a newly designed space bus through fabrication and delivery. This hands‑on position requires experience in assembling and fabricating structures, harnesses and electrical components. Throughout the manufacturing process, you will also identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize the build sequence of applicable hardware and equipment.

Shift DetailsThis position is for the B shift, Monday – Thursday (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM).
Responsibilities- Help with the setup of new production work areas to include tooling and equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment including forklifts, fork trucks, and other ground support equipment as required.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
- Perform routine functions such as daily clean‑up of work areas, support 5S activities, and eliminate FOD (Foreign Object Debris).
- Move parts and tooling from one work center to another as needed.
- Work a flexible schedule, supporting all shifts/OT as necessary to support business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in at least three of the following:
- Some experience with hand tools and assemblies.
- Ability to work from written work instructions.
- Work collaboratively with teams.
- Communicate clearly and appropriately.
- Basic computer skills such as Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Physical requirements include climbing ladders/stairs, working in small/confined spaces, performing repetitive work (lifting items up to 50 lbs), and working at elevated heights.
- Strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Intense curiosity for understanding business details and optimization.
- Experience in a team‑based lean manufacturing environment.
- Military experience.
- Experience with epoxies, wire harness, or mechanical assemblies.
