Systems Engineer, Test Engineer
Leidos’ Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking a Sr. Integration Engineer Team Lead. Our team works across multiple business sectors, with industry partners, and directly with the customer. We strive to have a variety of skillsets personally and across the team to meet the needs of our customers.
Primary Responsibilities- Working directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements.
- Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements.
- Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools.
- Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
- Creating, modifying, and executing test plans and procedures to satisfy program requirements.
- Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
- Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.
- The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).
- BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
- Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
- Candidates must have direct, hands‑on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
- Active DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
- Five to eight years of experience with hardware and software integration, test planning, and execution.
- Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator, 1553 Bus Analyzer).
- Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C#, and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices.
- Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and Wire Shark.
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management.
- Planning and executing demonstration tests and U.S. Gov't test ranges/facilities.
