Leidos’ Defense Systems / Manufacturing is seeking a talented
AI&T Test Technician
to join our team at our PIF location in Huntsville, AL. This position will work along a group of test engineers (electrical/mechanical) and test technicians, performing hardware and software configuration as well acceptance and qualification testing of DoD deployable units.

- Responsible for managing production assembly, fabrication of materials, test operations including set-up calibration and operation of machines used in the production and testing process. Duties may include ensuring that high-quality manufacturing production operations happen on schedule and within the cost objective.
- Work along a group of test engineers (electrical/mechanical) and test technicians, performing hardware and software configuration as well acceptance and qualification testing of DoD deployable units.
- Candidate will also handle all tasks assigned by the supervisor and may aid in writing reports and updating records.
- Will be part of a diverse team whose work will include setting up test equipment, performing functional testing of launcher hardware, confirming software functionality, setting up dynamic/climatic test environments, and subsystem AI&T.
- Work will be conducted in a manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of relevant experience in assembly, integration, and/or acceptance testing.
- Candidate must demonstrate relevant skills in one or more focus areas, have good interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team.
- Candidate must be able to work from production drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Candidate must possess basic skills using hand tools, electrical troubleshooting (DMM), and MS Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Candidate must be able to work independently, or as part of a team, in a dedicated workforce.
- Visual Acuity:
Strong near-vision and color discrimination to identify specific wire colors, read microscopic gauge labels, and route cables according to schematics. - Physical Posture:
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. - Lifting & Carrying:
Frequent lifting and transfer of production kits and spools weighing up to 35 lbs - Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance OR meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
- Experience in acceptance testing including electrical devices, mechanical functions, software integration, and RF measurements.
