PCBA Soldering Technician

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCBA Soldering Technician to produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s).

• This position involves hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium and high density printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Soldering/working under a microscope.
• Applicants must be able to perform rework of various electronic packages including resistors, capacitors, through-hole parts.
• Work to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output.
• Work independently under limited supervision.
• Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and production teams.

• High School diploma/GED and less than 2‑4 years of prior relevant work experience.
• Experience soldering under a microscope.
• Ability to solder surface mount and through-hole components.
• Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions.
• Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

• Current or prior certification in IPC‑A‑610.
• Current or prior certification in J‑STD‑001.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate.

Pay Range: $35,100.00 – $63,450.00
