Overview
The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN executes therapeutic physician orders and nursing interventions. The RN evaluates the patient's response to care and the attainment of progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for the outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
QualificationsEducation: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
License, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Alabama or Multistate nursing license required. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (must be completed within 90 days of hire). ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) certification must be completed within the provisional period. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred. Signed agreement on file for weekend employees, or any other position that requires additional job requirements (as agreed upon by supervisor and staff member).
Experience: Previous Critical care, OR, Pre-Op, or PACU experience preferred. Previous dental experience preferred.
