RN Float Staffing - Med Service Line 1st Shift

Overview

The RN maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, plans and delegates care based on those needs, evaluates the patient’s response to care, and monitors the attainment or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Education: Graduate of a state board–accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi‑state licensure.

License, Certification and/or Registration: BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS must be obtained within the first six months of employment and maintained current.

Experience: required.

Additional Skill/Abilities: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Knowledge of all equipment and materials required for procedures described in the Nursing Service Procedure Manual. Department‑specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
