Overview
Maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, plans and delegates care based on those needs, and evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.
Neonatal intensive care unit Registered Nurses provide critical care to premature and sick newborns, offering support to parents and collaborating with providers and ancillary staff to ensure a newborn’s critical care treatment is secure.
Maintain high quality nursing care and uphold unit standards. Assess and prioritize patient needs, develop and delegate care plans, evaluate care outcomes, and communicate effectively with families and the healthcare team.
Scheduling Requirements- FT, PT, and PRN RNs will work every 3rd weekend in accordance with their weekend rotation.
- PRN employees are required to work 8 shifts in a 6‑week period.
All hired positions will work full‑time hours (3 shifts each week) during the orientation period.
Qualifications- Education: Graduate of an accredited state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi‑state licensure.
- Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.

Skills:
BLS and NRP certification required and will be obtained during orientation.
