Overview
Maintains established standards of care, policies, objectives, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, plans and delegates care based on those needs, evaluates the patient’s response to care and attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes, and is accountable for patient‑care outcomes during the assigned shift. Neonatal intensive care unit Registered Nurses provide critical care to premature and sick newborns, offer support to parents, and work as a team member with providers and ancillary staff to ensure secure critical‑care treatment.
ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the core duties described in the Overview, the RN must maintain high standards of care and quality throughout all patient interactions.
Scheduling Requirements- FT, PT, and PRN RNs will work every 3rd weekend in accordance with their weekend rotation
- PRN employee is required to work 8 shifts in a 6‑week period
- All hired positions will work full‑time hours (3 shifts each week) during the orientation period
Education: Graduate of a state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi‑state licensure.
Experience: Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.
Additional Skills / Abilities: BLS and NRP required and will be obtained in the orientation period.
