Overview
Contract Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) sought to assist with covering open shifts at our facility.
Responsibilities- Take a patient’s temperature, blood pressure, and other vital statistics
- Perform basic nursing tasks such as changing a bandage or inserting a catheter
- Observe patients for changes in health, mood, and behavior and report concerns to an RN, Unit Manager, or Physician on duty
- Listen to patients and address their questions or concerns
- Prepare patients for care, describe procedures ordered by physicians, and address patient concerns or grievances
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Provide patients with immunizations as appropriate
- Collaborate with or mentor CNAs/NAes to deliver quality care
- Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and meeting applicable Federal and State licensure requirements
- Basic nursing competency skills
- Experience with electronic medical records and documentation
- Graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing
