How You'll Contribute- Provides clinical leadership and oversight of hospital operations during assigned shifts
- Serves as the first line of support for nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensures safe, effective patient care and adherence to nursing standards and rehabilitation philosophy
- Coordinates patient admissions, staffing assignments, and unit workflow
- Performs and supports accurate patient assessments, interventions, and documentation
- Ensures completion and updates of interdisciplinary care plans
- Monitors quality indicators and supports performance improvement initiatives
- Communicates and escalates clinical concerns or unusual occurrences appropriately
- Supports staff education, development, and regulatory compliance
- Assists with staffing plans, scheduling, and management of nursing resources

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Additional requirements include:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred - Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred

North Alabama Medical Center is a 263‑bed facility offering the community’s only open‑heart surgery site, a complete line of women’s and children’s services, and a comprehensive line of medical and imaging services. It is a Certified Chest Pain Center and a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence. The 24‑hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama.
