Pediatrics is a 38 bed medical surgical floor located within Women and Children’s Hospital. Our nurses are part of a multidisciplinary team and provide care for infants through young adults up to 21 years old.
The pediatric nurse must be caring, compassionate, and have critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and respond to changes in a patient’s condition. Qualifications include nursing licensure in Alabama; BLS is required before orientation ends and PALS within one year of hire.
