Overview

Accountable for 24hr, day to day operations of the department which includes effective management of clinical systems, human resources, financial management, and environmental management. Promotes collaborative practice with other departments, physicians, schools of nursing, and exhibits the ability to work with others to find solutions to difficult human, technical, or administrative problems. Must be able to adjust to and lead others through a rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications

Education
:
Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with current Alabama RN license. BSNrequired. (Exception: NM hired prior to 9/93). RN with BS in health or business managementacceptable. Masters preferred. Certification desired.

Experience
:
ExtensiveRN experience in which leadership has been exhibited required. Management experience desirable

Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period.
