The Missile Solutions Segment of L3

Harris Technologies is seeking an Associate
Manager, Quality Management to work at either our existing state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Toney, AL
, and/or our new, AMF in Huntsville, AL
, for our inert manufacturing facilities which fabricate and assemble composite rocket motor hardware. In this role, you will actively lead the Quality Engineering team for the medium cases we build, integrating both existing and transferred programs into an advanced technology environment that accommodates a mixed rate of production. Your leadership will be instrumental in continuing to build a high-performing, multi-disciplined team of quality professionals.

Essential

Functions
  • Implement and maintain Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance and standardization across the organization.
  • Cultivate a nurturing and supportive work environment that encourages professional development and continuous learning.
  • Identify and implement novel solutions that drive down cost of quality metrics and improve process stability and capability.
  • Oversee the accurate collection and analysis of quality metrics to drive process improvements.
  • Maintain and update policy documentation, ensuring clarity and adherence to the latest standards.
  • Develop guidelines and procedures based on executive feedback and inter-company communications.
  • Handle deviations from standard procedures, authorizing exceptions and ensuring gap closure.
  • Ensure IT systems effectively capture quality metrics and that data representation is precise.
  • Establish and support actions that support achieving strategic goals that impact the department and the site’s short-term operational results.
  • Accountable and/or responsible for the overall budget or P&L, the role includes managing financial elements that impact the bottom line.
  • Cultivate a culture of quality by promoting best practices, encouraging open communication, and leading by example to ensure continuous improvement and excellence in all operational aspects.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel between sites in Huntsville, AL.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6years prior related quality experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4years of prior related quality experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10years of prior related quality experience.
  • 5+ years experience in the field of manufacturing with strong knowledge and skills in quality or a similar role with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • 2+ years experience leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics and a team.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • STEAM Degree.
  • Aerospace and defense quality experience.
  • Regulatory and Auditing (AS9100 & ISO
    17025) experience.
  • APQP/PPAP certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Statistical and data analysis experience.
