SALARY RANGE:
The anticipated salary range for this role is $105,000 to $145,000 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

Summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Quality Systems Compliance Manager to be responsible for conducting second party QMS audits across Redwire Defense Tech business units to ensure compliance with AS 9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant standards. This role will involve identifying areas of strength, opportunities and non‑compliance, and reviewing and approving corrective action plans. A strong background in quality assurance within the aerospace, space, and other defense industries, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

Audit Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead, and/or conduct second party QMS audits for compliance with the AS9100 and ISO series of standards, Redwire Defense Tech and business unit policies and procedures, and regulatory and customer requirements across Redwire Defense Tech sites.
  • Perform formal responsibilities of a lead auditor such as planning in conjunction with the business unit audit planner, representing the audit team with site leadership, conducting opening and closing meetings, and daily debriefs with site personnel.
  • Ensuring that processes, products, and services comply with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Complete and issue detailed audit reports, including findings, non-conformances, and review and approve effective corrective actions and ensure implementation effectiveness.
  • May assist Redwire Defense Tech certification bodies during site surveillance and recertification audits, including facilitating audit schedules, logistics, and closure of corrective actions.
  • May support special projects relating to audits as needed.
Data Analysis
  • Support analysis of audit performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Utilize data analytics to support comprehensive audit preparation and planning based on historical and current performance data.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with Site GM’s and Quality Audit teams to support the audit schedule, ensuring that sites across Redwire Defense Tech are audited per the schedule.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with functional and business leaders to promote a transformative quality organization aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in bi-weekly Corrective Action Review Board meetings to review and approve/reject formal corrective action.
Special Audits And Assessments
  • Support special audits (major customer complaints, high-risk sites, etc.) independent assessments, and sites certifications as required by Redwire Defense Tech business units.
  • Supplier audits as requested by business units.
Travel Requirements
  • This position will require travel domestically and possibly internationally. Depending on the audit schedule and auditor location, this may require some weekend travel.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong background in Quality Assurance within the aerospace, space, or defense industries
  • Experience conducting second‑party QMS audits in accordance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and related standards.
  • Lead Auditor experience, including planning audits, conducting opening/closing meetings, and leading audit teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify non‑conformances, evaluate corrective actions, and verify implementation effectiveness.
  • Experience issuing detailed audit reports (findings, non‑conformances, corrective actions).
  • Ability to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to analyze audit performance data for trends, risks, and improvements.
