Quality Technician

Abaco is looking for a Quality Technician that will be responsible for customer, supplier, and internal quality initiatives which include product inspections to IPC standard, ISO 9102 FAI, Source Inspection, and customer audits/surveys.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for improvement of key process metrics

* Certified in IPC 610 class 3 workmanship standards

* Apply, interpret, and explain identified IPC defects for defect reporting

* AS9102 FAI preparation and presentation

* Work as a change agent combined with the ability to work at various levels and cross functionality in the organization

* Interpret and understand IPC workmanship standards

* Lead improvement activities involving Lean principles and tools

* Meet as necessary with customers to resolve issues and problems

* Conduct QMS training for new hires

* Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

* Minimum High School diploma

* Minimum 5 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency as IPC inspector of circuit card assemblies

* Experience with Source Inspection preparation and presentation

* Internal auditing experience

Qualifications:

* Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings for the purpose of inspections

* Highly effective communicator with all organizational levels

* Proven leadership capability

* AS9100 or ISO
9001 QMS experience

* Strong Project Management skills

* Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point

* ESD Program knowledge

* Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean experience desired
