Position Overview:

You will lead and support quality activities within a manufacturing environment, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supplier teams to ensure products meet established quality and safety standards. In this role, you will oversee quality processes, coordinate quality personnel, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support operational performance and customer expectations. You will play a key role in resolving production quality concerns, supporting new product introductions, and maintaining compliance with quality requirements across internal and external stakeholders.

You will also contribute to the development of quality systems, training, and performance measurement activities that strengthen organizational capability. This is a compelling opportunity to influence product quality, manufacturing performance, and new product readiness through leadership of quality initiatives and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional teams in troubleshooting quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to support production performance.
  • Coordinate and oversee quality control activities, including assigning and scheduling work for quality technicians and inspectors to meet production and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with established quality standards across manufacturing operations and external suppliers.
  • Support new product introduction activities, including production start-ups, tooling validation, and supplier qualification processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain inspection criteria and quality standards for critical product characteristics.
  • Analyze production processes, quality performance, and manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor quality metrics and performance indicators and implement improvements to achieve quality objectives.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development for quality technicians to enhance capability and consistency.
  • Manage quality-related activities within approved budget parameters.
  • Promote compliance with safety standards and support a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred, or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality, process engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in automotive or similar assembly manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and conducting product or process failure analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead or supervise hourly employees within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with significant shop floor involvement.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required for business needs.
