Senior SOC Analyst

Position:
Cleared Senior SOC Analyst (Active TS required, ability to obtain SCI). 100% onsite at the Federal Intel Agency, Huntsville, AL. Shift time:
Various shifts.

The Senior SOC Analyst supports second‑tier escalation for intrusion detection security events across the agency’s network. The analyst monitors SEIM alerts, responds to incidents, investigates using tools such as Splunk ES, Splunk SIEM, Fire Eye, Wireshark, Snort, PCAP analysis, and OWASP Top 10. Responsibilities include documenting incidents, constructing email notifications, and recommending actions to safeguard agency systems.

• At least 8 years of SOC analyst experience with detailed incident response and intrusion detection knowledge.
• Experience with wide‑area networks, host and network IPS/IDS, traffic event review, server web log analysis, raw data logs.
• Proficiency with Splunk ES, Splunk SIEM, Fire Eye, Wireshark, Snort, and PCAP tools.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Active TOP SECRET clearance with ability to qualify for SCI.
• Bachelor’s degree.
