Armed Field Team Captain

Security Engineers is a respected provider of contract security services, operating across multiple states. Our headquarters is in Alabama, with branch offices strategically located throughout our operational footprint. Position:
Armed Field Captain – Full‑Time Floater. Schedule will vary weekly. Pay: $17.86 – $19.00 per hour. Must have flexibility of scheduling.

Summary:

This position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to function smoothly in a professional corporate atmosphere. Completion of additional paid training will be required for success.

• Valid, not expired driver’s license.
• Good MVR.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Armed ASRB Security Guard license.
• Must pass armed training and possess a valid pistol permit.
• Must pass a background investigation.
• Must complete a psychological assessment.
• Must pass an annual physical fitness assessment (Navy Standards).
• Must pass a medical exam to test vision and hearing (color distinction required).
• CPR and AED training – preferred.

• 3+ years in Armed Security, Military, or Law Enforcement, OR
• 4+ years in Unarmed Security.

• Supervise subordinate officers for training, evaluation, and corrective actions.
• Review discipline violations and other disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with management regarding conflict resolution between officers and disciplinary actions.
• Confirm timely arrival of Security Officers at all posts.
• Perform post inspections to ensure officers are professional in appearance and have all required equipment.
• Provide escorts to associates and visitors.
• Assist with answering alarms and provide breaks when needed.
• Relieve Security Officers for breaks, training assignments, and other relief as needed.
• Assist FTOs in retraining Security Officers when necessary, recording training in Resolver management software.
• End‑of‑day post inspections of security post entrances to ensure computers and CCTV systems are closed out, intercom phones forwarded to control room, and doors secured.

• Experience with workplace technology such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and security technology such as Resolver, Avigilon, Quantum SAFE, CCURE, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work closely with clients in a professional corporate atmosphere.
• Experience with strong access control procedures.
• Leadership skills: decision‑making, motivation, and goal setting.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Alabama Security Regulatory Board license (preferred).
• Ability to obtain all required security certifications/licenses.
• State‑issued Driver’s License (not expired).
