Directs Security Guard I personnel during assigned shifts under the oversight of Acuity's Site Supervisor(s) and Project Manager; ensures 100% post coverage, post-order compliance, readiness, and reporting; and performs all Guard I access-control duties as required. The Guard II is the first line of accountability for shift performance, conduct, and incident response.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

All Security Guard I duties, plus:

  • Direct and supervise the guard force during assigned shifts under Acuity site oversight; manage a shift of eight or more guards across multiple gates and posts
  • Conduct guard mount/shift briefings; verify fitness for duty, uniform and equipment condition, license/credential currency, and post assignments before posting
  • Ensure 100% coverage of required posts for the entire shift; execute the relief plan and adjust assignments to cover absences without uncovered posts; notify Company management and Acuity immediately of coverage risks
  • Supervise execution of post orders, RAMP measures, inspections, and access-control standards; conduct documented post checks throughout the shift
  • Take charge of incident response on shift: direct immediate actions, ensure notifications within required timelines (verbal notice within 5 minutes for reportable incidents), preserve scenes, and coordinate with DES, law enforcement, and emergency services
  • Review and approve guard incident and daily reports for accuracy and completeness before end of shift; prepare supervisory reports and shift logs
  • Ensure use-of-force compliance; document and report any use of force immediately through Company and Acuity channels
  • Support internal quality control integrated with Acuity's QC program; identify deficiencies, take containment action immediately, and support written corrective action
  • Coach, train, and evaluate assigned guards; conduct on-shift remedial training and document performance issues; recommend personnel actions to Company management
  • Track training, license, medical, PAT, and credential currency for assigned personnel; flag expirations before they lapse
  • Maintain accountability of shift equipment, keys, radios, and Government-furnished property; report loss or damage immediately
  • Enforce standards of conduct and appearance; remove personnel from post when directed by Acuity or the Government and implement qualified replacement coverage
  • Maintain 24/7 reachability expectations for shift-management coordination as assigned; elevate to the Company 24/7 management POC as required
  • Refer any Government direction that would change scope, price, staffing, or schedule to Acuity/Company management - do not accept directly.

Pay Rate: $24.00 Hourly
