As a Security Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting lives and property by managing and leading the security team and assisting the client in various capacities. The RoleThe Security Manager reports directly to the Regional Director of Operations and owns overall responsibility for site security operations at one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers. You’ll lead the security team, serve as Incident Commander when it matters most, and act as the key liaison between Security Management, the client, and local emergency responders.
What You’ll Own- Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Act as the Incident Commander and lead emergency response — fire, medical, weather, Haz‑Mat
- Oversee all security operations, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee all security personnel — coordinate new hire interviews, evaluate performance, resolve personnel issues
- Develop staff through technical and professional skills training
- Create and revise security policies and procedures
- Inspect posts, personnel, vehicles, and equipment for compliance
- Ensure all contracted hours of coverage are met and schedule work shifts
- Serve as Access Control Administrator and oversee security system integrity
- Complete and manage incident reports; follow the escalation matrix to Security Management and/or Site Leadership
- Serve as liaison between Security Management and the Contractor, and with EMS, police, and fire personnel
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise emergency preparedness exercises and drills
- Evaluate overall site performance and propose changes or improvements to Management
- Assist in the annual Risk Assessment and ISO Audits
- Prepare post orders and instructions for special events
- Confirm dissemination of information across all shifts
- Participate in site and community events and training that support facility initiatives
- Attend meetings and complete operations projects as requested by Security Management
- At least 5 years' experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity
- At least 5 years' experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Military, Fire Service, or Emergency Management
- Working knowledge of Incident Command and the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
- Thorough knowledge of security and/or fire suppression SOPs, with the ability to lead response within 30 days of hire
- Availability to respond 24/7 in the event of an emergency or as directed by Security Management or corporate leadership
