• Reads and interprets hydraulic schematics and blueprints and hand sketches.
• Locates components in fluid systems and determines method of plumbing.
• Selects pipe and tube size, determines wall thickness, and selects fittings and method of attachment.
• Uses hand and power tools and machine equipment as directed, i.e., tube bender, flaring machine, grinders, etc.
• Performs testing of completed units and static testing of components and assemblies.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic components and hydraulic systems.
• Maintains all documents and paperwork pertaining to the job.
• Guides and directs lower-level mechanics work effort when necessary.
• Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions, words and deeds.
