Apprentice Plumber

1 Tom Plumber is a professional, service-focused emergency drain clearing, water damage mitigation, and plumbing service company providing services to both commercial and residential properties.

Apprentice Plumbers/Helpers assist lead technicians in performing plumbing and drain-related tasks, including diagnosis, repair, and installations. This is a hands‑on role with a focus on learning, safety, and customer service.

Start time: 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday (Some overtime or weekend hours may occasionally be required)

General Manager / Lead Technician

• Assist lead plumber on service calls and interact with customers professionally.
• Help maintain a clean and respectful job site environment.

• Support drain cleaning, plumbing repairs, and installations.
• Handle tools and materials under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
• Assist in diagnosing plumbing issues and in executing solutions.

• Maintain tools and ensure truck inventory is stocked and organized.
• Complete basic documentation such as timesheets and work summaries.
• Adhere to safety protocols and building codes under supervision.

• Attend company meetings and training sessions regularly.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Learn and grow into increased responsibilities with time.

• Minimum one (1) year experience in plumbing or drain-related work required
• Clean and valid driver’s license preferred
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the trade
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High integrity and work ethic

• Ability to lift moderate to heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures
• Capable of climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods

• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
• Strong work ethic and reliability
