Seeking an experienced engineer to support evaluation, verification, and validation of software used in DoW missile systems, radar systems, and other mission‑ and safety‑critical platforms. Focus on software integrity, airworthiness, analytical rigor, and lifecycle assurance.
Responsibilities- Perform independent verification and validation (IV&V) of software systems.
- Evaluate software compliance with airworthiness, safety, cybersecurity, and quality requirements.
- Assess software integrity, robustness, reliability, and risk.
- Conduct software analysis of requirements, design, code, and test artifacts.
- Review software engineering artifacts for correctness, completeness, traceability, and consistency.
- Identify software anomalies, risks, and non‑conformances, document findings and support resolution.
- Support system reviews, certification activities, audits, and program milestones.
- Utilize and/or develop software automation tools to support verification and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Assist with artifact reviews, test analysis, and documentation.
- Learn DoW processes, missile and radar system concepts, and applicable standards.
- Perform IV&V activities independently on complex systems.
- Interface directly with program stakeholders and customers.
- Drive continuous improvement and technical best practices.
- US Citizenship.
- Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of applicable experience; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Progressively complex software design engineering experience; background in software engineering, software analysis, IV&V, or software assurance.
- Understanding of software development life cycles and verification methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex technical information and clearly document results.
- Active secret clearance.
- Experience with DoW missile systems, radar systems, or other defense platforms.
- Familiarity with standards such as DO-178, MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-498, IEEE software standards, or equivalent.
- Experience with airworthiness or safety‑critical software environments.
- Experience with software automation, scripting, or test frameworks.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to software quality and mission assurance.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team‑based environments.
- Adaptability across multiple programs and technical domains.

- Collaboration with cross‑functional engineering and program teams.
- Occasional travel may be required to support program needs.
