J12 is looking for a Software Engineer to develop applications, tools, scripts and architectures. This position involves developing and/or maintaining software systems and components in support of various defense customers, intuitive post-processing data analysis tools, and graphical user interfaces.

• Develop custom-built software applications and tools according to customer requirements.
• Learn architecture of existing software applications and tools; expand, develop, modify, and/or fix this software as assigned.
• Support development of core test, evaluation, and/or simulation frameworks and plugins.
• Integrate multiple tools, services, and/or scripts into unified environments for testing, validation, training, and/or simulation.
• Design, plan, and test simulation architectures; collect and analyze data; and generate test reports.
• Perform trade-space analysis to assess and verify system characteristics and capabilities.

• B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Experience with at least two programming/software development languages (C, C++, Java, Python, etc).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Candidate must be a US-only Citizen.

• Existing TS//SCI Clearance
• Experience in development of, or performing analysis using, DoD simulation environments such as AFSIM, DIADS, NGTS, TMAP, or ITASE
• Experience working with RADAR subject matter experts to implement models of RADAR systems.
• Experience in modeling and simulation as related to space, missile and/or aerodynamic system performance.
• Experience in building simulation scenarios to support analysis goals.
• Experience in using agile software development as part of a team.
• Experience with data analytics methods including data cleaning / preparation, data model building, and presentation.
• Ability to interact with data suppliers, work well with coworkers and interface with customers.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues and provide comprehensive written, oral and/or digital products (including document organization and technical writing).
