Senior Software Engineer - Huntsville

We are looking to add software engineers to our development teams for a wide array of products including Battle Management, Command & Control, Communications, Effectors, Advanced Sensor Systems, and Surveillance and Warning systems.

• Participate in collaborative, cross‑discipline integrated product teams, employ agile software development techniques and resources to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
• Assist and participate in the requirements, design, development and testing of real‑time embedded software, application software, and tools, to include development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in modern languages, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Dev Sec Ops , and other methodologies and technologies, especially in relation to complex systems.
• Work collaboratively with Systems and Integration Test Engineers to analyze, implement and test system.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics and a minimum of five (5) or more years of relevant experience in software development, integration, and/or test using C++, Java, Ada or similar object‑oriented software language.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued interim secret security clearance is required prior to start. Note, only U.S. Citizen can obtain security clearance.

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience in developing complex systems and applications using an object‑oriented (OO) programming language.
• Experience with Agile lifecycle methodologies including Scrum, Continuous Integration and Test‑Driven Development Methodologies.
• Proven self‑motivated problem solver who can look at a situation, identify gaps or issues, and take initiative to resolve them (technically, with process, and with documentation).
• Familiarity with leading a small team (e.g., estimating effort, decomposing tasks, tracking and reporting progress).
• Experience with multi‑threading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments.
• Experience with Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, and software debuggers.
• Experience in embedded systems, real‑time systems, or large‑scale applications.
• Experience working in Agile environment such as Scrum, Scrum @ Scale, SAFe, Test‑Driven Development, Dev Sec Ops .
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.
• Knowledge of Red Hat and/or Linux Operating Systems.
• Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.

Salary range: 86,800 USD – 165,200 USD.
