Software Quality Engineer Associate

Overview

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time Software Quality Engineer Associate to support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP). The role focuses on requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, coding, unit testing, integration, and formal test/delivery support for missile defense technology.

Support the software engineering lifecycle as described above and collaborate with development teams to ensure quality and compliance with security standards.

• Current US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
• Knowledge of quality systems/processes and external quality standards
• Knowledge of software development life cycle models
• Ability to interpret software design and code to verify the implementation of requirements

• Read/write code in C, C++, and/or Java
• Knowledge of configuration management and control tools (e.g., Git, Clear Quest, Clear Case, DOORS)
• Technical knowledge in related disciplines such as Quality Engineering, System Safety, Engineering, Manufacturing, Integration & Test
• Experience supporting Agile/Scrum software development
• Knowledge of test planning, processing, and addressing nonconformance including root cause analysis and corrective action development
• Knowledge of establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
• Some travel may be required for program objectives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work off‑shifts and weekends as needed

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Final Secret clearance.
