Jr-Mid Level Software Developer

OASYS, INC., a Leading Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking applicants for a Jr-Mid Level Software Developer to support our DoD customer on Redstone Arsenal.

The Jr-Mid Level Software Engineer will work closely with a highly technical team of product managers, systems and software engineers and scientists developing advanced software capabilities and technical solutions for a mission planning system. Principal duties and responsibilities include the design, development, test, and implementation of state‑of‑the‑art software/systems platforms and integration components based to support building secure, high‑performing web application and systems integration components to address complex and evolving mission planning requirements within a high‑velocity Agile environment;

analysis of user’s software program needs and assist in troubleshooting; the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems; and the implementation of pillars of Dev Sec Ops  to mature Continuous Integration, Delivery, and Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.

• 3+ years of software design experience
• Experience with JavaScript, Type Script, or other web technologies/services
• An understanding of basic software design based on Object Oriented Programming principles
• Some knowledge/experience with application programming interfaces (APIs)
• Experience with current operating systems and development tools (e.g., JIRA, Bit Bucket)
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds, including government and external industry personnel
• Good understanding of or experience with Vue or other modern frameworks, like React or Angular
• Experience using a development environment such as VSCode
• Understanding of Git or other code version control tools

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline; however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
