The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced Software Quality Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Independent evaluation of software processes and products and their conformity to standards, models, and software engineering program-defined processes
• Ensuring quality is built into program processes and products by checking for completeness, consistency, correctness, and conformance throughout the entire software development life cycle and maintenance activities to determine whether the program's objectives have been satisfied and if continuous improvement is needed
• Developing, monitoring, measuring, and analyzing software metrics for continuous improvement
• Ability to fill all aspects of the Quality function, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Quality Engineering. The candidate needs to be able to take on roles that sometimes fall outside of the conventional SQE job description, like directing AS9100 audit support, program metric definition and reporting, supplier surveys, evaluation of nonconformances trending, and driving lessons learned and best practices
• Ability to present software quality assessment of products and processes to the customer and program management
• Track and manage nonconformances, software defects, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action activities for the program

Basic Qualifications:

• Agile/Lean Development Experience - Support software development teams operating under various Agile frameworks.
• Quality Systems Knowledge - Thorough understanding of internal quality processes and external quality standards.
• Toolset Expertise - Hands-on experience with software development and planning tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Code Collaborator.
• Process & Product Evaluation - Conduct assessments to verify compliance, effectiveness, and continuous-improvement opportunities.
• U.S. Citizen w/ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance Desired

Skills:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to write code in C, C++, or Java
• Lean / Six Sigma [COLOR] Belt
• ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE)
• Knowledge of AS9100 requirements
• Knowledge of AS9115 requirements
