Software Architect, Software Engineer, Java Developer

Software Architect – Huntsville, AL (Redstone Arsenal)

• Function as the focal point for ensuring the existing software product is constructed in a scalable form, allowing for the integration of additional sensor model representations and for the ability to have various levels of functionality modeled for each new sensor type.
• Work with an established team of software developers and interface on a regular basis with a diverse team of systems and radar engineers.
• Represent Leidos technically, professionally, and ethically while working daily on‑site at customer facilities on a multi‑contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering, or a related STEM discipline, plus 12‑15 years of experience in computer science or software development, or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering plus 10‑13 years of experience in computer science or software development.
• Must have significant knowledge and experience in Java.
• Must have experience using C++ and be able to develop and maintain interfaces between Java and C++ applications.
• Must have experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes, along with a general understanding of containerization concepts.
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama area.
• Candidate must possess and be able to maintain a SECRET clearance.

• Significant experience using the Git Lab environment and Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
• Experience in developing 3D visualization GUIs using Java.
• Experience in modeling & simulation software.
