Software Engineer Sr; Secret Clearance

Basic Qualifications

• Final secret clearance required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or a related technical field.
• Proficiency with a modern programming language such as C++, C, C#, Java (preferably C++). Experience in Java is a plus.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Knowledge of or experience with Git version control.
• Software development in a Linux environment.
• Approximately 10% travel to U.S. customer sites.

• Design and develop new Java applications; maintain existing Java applications.
• Support software testing and issue resolution across multiple baselines.
• Perform in‑depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution.
• Develop or modify operating system applications from system specifications.
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
• Interface with other system support groups.
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews.

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; effective communication for cross‑team coordination.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Automation experience with Ansible.
• Containerization experience.
• Microservices experience.
• Software design/architecture experience.
• Hardware/software integration and test experience.
• Security+ certification or equivalent.
• Experience designing and developing software applications.
• Experience developing new capabilities into a legacy software system.
• Experience analyzing software against performance requirements.
• Experience optimizing software applications for performance.
• Experience developing complex mathematical algorithms from whitepapers or design documentation.
• Experience resolving cyber/security issues identified by tools such as Fortify or Sonar Qube.
• Experience using Eclipse to develop software applications.
• Experience using Maven, Gradle, or other build tools.
• Experience using automated unit testing frameworks.

The role is onsite full‑time; work will be performed at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
