Software Developer, Software Engineer, DevOps

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform high-level software development functions using C++, Java or similar languages including design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs.
• Collaborate with other experts within the program and the user community to design, develop, and debug existing software, and to design and develop enhancements that incorporate new capabilities into various components of the existing systems.
• Use sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant, and reusable, including providing software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process.
• Create and run automated software builds and pipelines in a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment.
• Contribute to software development activities as a member of an agile team and actively participate in program increment planning, feature and story development, sprint planning, demos, iteration retrospectives and related team activities.

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college and 0+ years of experience.
• Experience in C++ or other high-level software languages.
• Familiarity with Red Hub Enterprise Linux OS.
• Experience programming network connections (message generation, formatting, UDP and TCP/IP interfaces).
• Experience creating and running unit tests.
• Experience developing software documentation.
  
  Experience creating and running automated software builds and pipelines in a CI/CD environment.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders and government customers.
• Experience working within an Agile team environment, including program increment planning, iteration planning, feature and story development, sprint planning, and iteration retrospectives.
• Participation in demos for the team and program sprint reviews.
• Active secret clearance.
• Full-time onsite support.
• Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and application of Agile methodologies within a technical/engineering environment.
• Experience developing and/or supporting CI/CD pipelines (Ansible, Jenkins).
• Experience with Python or Java and user interfaces.
• Familiarity with Jira issue tracking and agile project management, or similar tool.
• Experience with multi-core and multi-threaded programming.
• Relevant DoD and/or industry work experience in missile defense.

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $.
